CHELSIO 10GbE ADAPTERS SELECTED FOR HP INTEGRITY SERVERS
SUNNYVALE, CA – April 28, 2008 – Chelsio Communications, Inc., the leading provider of 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) adapters and ASIC solutions, today announced that its T3-based server adapters are now available on HP Integrity servers.
Chelsio’s T3-based server adapters deliver the Unified Wire – enabling the convergence of TCP/IP, RDMA and iSCSI protocols onto a single Ethernet network with the high data integrity required for business critical applications, said Kianoosh Naghshineh, president and CEO of Chelsio. Getting selected by HP for the Integrity servers is a major OEM win for Chelsio and further validates the performance of the T3-based Unified Wire solutions.
Chelsio’s 10GbE solution for HP Integrity servers meets rigorous standards, including superior technical features, best in class performance, high reliability, end-to-end data integrity, and volume ready manufacturing capabilities.
Incorporating Chelsio’s 10 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter technologies into the HP Integrity server line helps ensure that customers can process their largest business IT tasks, said Lorraine Bartlett, director of server marketing, Business Critical Systems, HP.
Chelsio’s T3 adapters are offered for HP Integrity servers equipped with PCI-Express and supported with the HP-UX operating system. The T3 adapters combine NIC, iSCSI Target and Initiator, industry-standard iWARP RDMA and TOE functionalities with integrated dual 10GbE ports and native PCI-Express host bus interfaces*. T3 delivers the industry’s lowest latency and highest bandwidth, with full wire-rate 10Gbps, enabling it to run unmodified Fibre Channel applications.
T3 adapters introduces remote management and value added features, such as Traffic Management, line rate Classification and Filtering, and Virtualization on top of the core offload technology. These features enable the use of the T3 in various embedded applications, such as blade servers, video servers application gateways and performance proxies, server and storage virtualization, SAN arrays and NAS filers*.
