CHELSIO DELIVERS UNIFIED WIRE FOR GIGABIT ETHERNET
Broad Family Enables Fabric Unification With Highest Transaction Rate in Industry; Chelsio Also Establishes New Industry Price Points for 10Gb Ethernet
SUNNYVALE, CA, MAY 23, 2007 – Chelsio Communications, Inc., the leading provider of 10-Gigabit Ethernet unified wire solutions, today announced a new family of Unified Wire Adapters targeted at the massive installed base of Gigabit Ethernet networking infrastructure. Chelsio’s Unified Wire Adapters enable the convergence of storage, clustering and server networking applications onto a single unified fabric.
Powered by Chelsio’s T3 technology, this new family of multi-port Gigabit Ethernet adapters enables the replacement of the disparate fabric technologies such as Fibre Channel and InfiniBand in a wide range of applications, including Network-Attached Storage (NAS) Filers, Storage Area Network (SAN) Arrays, Server Adapters, High Performance Cluster Computing, Blade Servers, Video Servers, Application Servers and Web Accelerators.
The new product line includes the S302E, S304E and S302X multi-port 1GbE adapters with PCI-Express and PCI-X optimized for storage accelerator applications. The new cards are all available now. Based on the third generation Unified Wire Engine from Chelsio, these adapters provide the highest 1GbE performance available and dramatically lower host-system CPU and communications overhead. The S302E and S302X are both US list priced at $795, and the S304E is $1,495.
Chelsio is also announcing the availability of the S320E-CX, 2-port 10GbE storage accelerator with PCI-Express host bus interface and CX4 copper connection with the ability to drive active CX4 cables. The S320E-CX is list priced at $1,495.

Additionally, Chelsio is announcing price reductions across its broad family of 10Gb Ethernet server adapters and storage accelerators, establishing new low cost price points. The price reductions include Chelsio’s N310E-SR 10GbE PCI-Express adapter, now list priced at $1,095, including optics, and the N310E-CX PCI-Express adapter, now listed at $695, making them the lowest priced, highest performance 10Gb Ethernet server adapters in the industry.
