Download the following benchmark reports to learn more about Chelsio Communications' industry-leading performance. Testing was conducted by independent third-party teams at highly respected research labs at Sandia National Labs, Los Alamos National Lab, Ohio State University and others.
Experiences with NFS over IB and iWARP RDMA by Helen Chen et al. Performance evaluation of NFS over RDMA across 20Gbps DDR Infiniband and Chelsio 10GbE iWARP RNIC using the Open Fabrics Alliance OFED stack. The results show the performance of Chelsio's 10GbE iWARP RNIC is comparable to 20Gbps DDR Infiniband, demonstrating the efficiency of Chelsio's architecture to deliver similar application performance at half the nominal line rate of the Infiniband solution.
Performance Evaluation of a 10-Gigabit Ethernet TOE by Dr. Wu Feng et al Detailed performance evaluation of the Chelsio 10-Gigabit Ethernet adapter with TOE over both sockets and the Message Passing Interface (MPI) stack atop the sockets interface, and application-level evaluations using the Apache web server. Results demonstrate latency as low as 8.9 µs and throughput of nearly 7.6 Gbps, and an order-of-magnitude improvement in the performance of the Apache web server while utilizing the TOE.
InfiniBand and 10-Gigabit Ethernet for I/O in Cluster Computing by Helen Chen et al Performance evaluations across 10GbE with TOE, 10GbE NICs without TOE, Infiniband, and SDP over Infiniband. The benchmarks include both a detailed micro-benchmark evaluation and an application-level evaluation using the TerraGRID iSCSI-based block-level scalable I/O platform as a massively parallel file system. The results show that 10GbE with TOE outperforms basic 10GbE NICs without TOE and Infiniband in all tests and that 10GbE TOE offers significant performance improvement for sockets applications.
